Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Welcome to MoonLoom. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use moonloom.ai. We have tried to keep them short and readable. By creating an account or using the service, you are agreeing to them.

1. Using MoonLoom

MoonLoom is a service for creating personalised, AI-illustrated children's storybooks for personal, family use. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The stories you make are for your own family, friends, and gift recipients — not for resale.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password and email account secure. Please do not share your login with anyone else. If we notice activity that breaks these terms, we may need to pause or close the account.

3. AI-Generated Content

Every story and illustration is generated fresh by AI from the details you provide. That means each book is unique — running the wizard twice will give you two different results. AI is wonderful but imperfect, so the occasional quirky sentence or odd illustration can happen. If something looks off, you can regenerate or contact us.

4. Who Owns What

You keep full ownership of any photos you upload. The storybooks we generate are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use — read them, share them with family, print them at home, give them as gifts. Reselling the generated content or using it for commercial purposes requires our written permission.

5. Photo Uploads

When you upload a photo of a child, you are confirming that you have the right to use that image and that the parent or legal guardian has consented. Photos are handled exactly as described in our Privacy Policy: processed in memory, deleted after generation, never shared.

6. Acceptable Use

MoonLoom exists to make joyful stories for children. To keep it that way, please do not use the service to create:

  • Content that is sexual, violent, frightening, or otherwise inappropriate for a child audience.
  • Stories that impersonate or commercially imitate copyrighted characters (Disney, Pokémon, Marvel, etc.) without rights.
  • Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory material aimed at any individual or group.
  • Content involving real children other than your own (or those you have explicit consent for) in any inappropriate context.

7. Credits and Payments

MoonLoom uses a credit-based pricing model — there are no subscriptions. New accounts receive 14 free credits that expire 14 days after sign-up. Generating a Storybook costs 10 credits. You can top up at any time with credit packs (13, 39, 65, or 130 credits). Stripe handles every payment securely.

8. Refunds

Credits you have purchased but not yet used can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked — just email [email protected]. Once credits have been spent on a generated story, they are not refundable, because the AI cost is incurred at generation time. If something goes wrong with a generation (failed output, missing pages, technical fault), we will fix it or refund the credits used.

9. Limitation of Liability

MoonLoom is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not promise the service will always be available without interruption, or that AI-generated content will match an exact expectation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law.

10. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If a dispute arises, let us try to sort it out by talking first — email [email protected] and we will work in good faith to resolve it. If that does not work, the courts of Kyiv, Ukraine will have jurisdiction. Consumers in the EU and UK keep the right to bring proceedings in their own local courts under applicable consumer law.

11. Account Deletion and Data Export

You can delete your account anytime from your settings page, or by emailing us. We will export your stories on request. We may close an account that breaks these terms, especially the acceptable-use rules. Once an account is closed, access to generated content ends, and personal data is deleted within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

If we update these terms, we will email registered users before the changes take effect. Continuing to use MoonLoom after that date counts as acceptance. The date at the top of the page always shows the most recent revision.

13. Contact
